Welcome to Sojevyj Vik!
What we call soya age, started with a rapid growth in production and usage of soya beans in Ukraine. Soya quickly became one of the ten most popular crops. Thanks to soya the soil became more fertile especially after it was exhausted by the sunflowers. Soya is also the best alternative crop for the double-cropping.
Soya beans production increased hugely in Ukraine thanks to the high demand from the processing plants and to the support given by the Ukrainian government. In 2009 there were 748 thousands of hecatares used for growing soya and in 2010 even more.
The methods of planting and growing of soya used by the Ukrainian farmers are not very extensive hence the average yields are only 1,5t per hectare. Such low yields are caused by the misusage of soya varieties which are not adaptable to certain climate conditions and by violation of rules of the basic agriculture.
In order to solve these problems the agriculture should be improved and new varieties of soya beans should be created with the following characteristics: more competitive, that produce higher yields, with optimal vegetation period for different climate zones, with high fixation of lower pods, resistant to limited growth conditions and diseases, suitable for different soil conditions. The aim of Sojevyj Vik is to contribute largely to solving of these problems.
As a result of the hard work of our breeders a new early-maturing variety of soya beans called Annushka was created. The variety was added to the national list of plant varieties of Ukraine in 2007. In 2009 it was sown on 85 thousands of hectares of land and takes the first place in a rating of around hundred different varieties that are used in Ukraine. Other new varieties, such as early-maturing Anastasia and medium-maturing Antoshka have passed the trials and been added to the national list in 2010.
Early-maturing varieties of soya can be sown at later stages, which gives enough time to prepare the soil, destroy weeds and resist the temptation of growing genetically modified soya. It is recommended to grow different varieties of soya with different maturity periods in order to guarantee high yields.
On our web-site you can familiarise yourself with our varieties of soya beans, their different qualities; compare them and finally find the most suitable for you.
